In 2012, WCFFN continued to fulfill it's mission to support agencies to build the capacity to serve fathers and strengthen families. The Network was proud to award two $2000 Father Engagement mini-grants in February to two agencies in Worcester County. The Family Continuity program and the Worcester Child Development Head Start program were selected by the evaluation committee from a pool of very strong applicants. The Network is pleased to provide the mini-grants to these two exciting fatherhood initiative programs and hopes to have the financial resources to offer similar grants in the future.

Who We Are

The Worcester County Fathers & Family Network was created out of the concern for the lack of available services to support the role of fathers. Established in 1999, the Network?s objectives are:

  • Heighten the perception of the importance of the role fathers play in the emotional and physical health of their children.
  • Raise community awareness of the need to develop services for fathers.
  • Improve collaboration and information sharing between providers so that services may be made available to fathers and their families.
  • Identify gaps in the delivery and availability of services and to develop new services to assist fathers.
